Every project, business, romantic relationship, or partnership has its own birth chart, and the Sun and Earth are the most crucial factors in that chart.

Every day can vary in its propensity for a successful outcome. Some days are better for love, and some are better for money, but of course, your own chart's transits are the most important. However, when you have great transits and also pick a great day to start something new, the magic happens!

Making a vision a reality by forming helpful connections and implementing appropriate changes might be the best keywords for the month. The middle of the month is muddled with many conflicting factors at work.

Oct 4 - 8 - mainly benign, Sun quincunx Jupiter, but the 5th and 6th are the best.

October 11 - Pluto turns direct in motion at 27.9 Capricorn

Oct 14 - Eclipse & New Moon quincunx Uranus while Sun is c.p. Chiron and Sedna. The accent is on publicity, networking, and making new starts. See the notes below about the eclipses.

Oct 15-18 - Sun quincunx Neptune and Uranus creates a Yod that softens the upcoming square to Pluto, but Saturn opposes Juno, while square Sedna.

Oct 19 - 21 - Sun square Pluto at 27.9 Libra

October 20 - 23 - Earth square Pluto

Oct 26 - 27 -Sun // Saturn

Oct 29 - 31 Sun c.p. Jupiter and par. Ceres

ECLIPSES OCTOBER 2023

Since New Moons and Full Moons in some way represent a time of new starts and fulfillment it might be a good idea to look at the charts for this month, since there are eclipses during October's lunar cycles.

October 14, 2023

If you observe the chart below for October 14, the day of the total solar eclipse, you might notice that although the Sun and Moon are applying to a helpful quincunx to Uranus, planet of fame and originality, there is also an applying conjunction of the Sun to the very unpleasant, but distant, Xanthus. This could illuminate (Sun) and/or disrupt (Uranus) malignant, murderous/coldhearted impulses.

Also notice the T square forming between Saturn, Sedna, and Juno that will be exact about October 17. The helpful alignments of the 13th and 14th quickly shift.

All the red lines in this chart represent turbulent alignments between the planets.

October 28, 2023

Fewer red lines! The Sun is applying to a trine to Vesta, the planet of friendships, common causes, and groups, while sociable Venus is applying to a trine to Uranus and separating from a quincunx to Chiron. Any problems that pop up in October might be laid to rest or resolved by gathering together with others who share your sentiments as the lunar cycle culminates. Those whose charts are sensitive to the 5 degree fixed sign alignment might find out who their real friends are.

PLUTO

Pluto Turns Direct on Oct 11 at 27.9 Capricorn

Pluto squares Sun at 27.9 Libra on Oct 21

Whether you appreciate the meme or not, notice Pluto has a different orbit than others.

Back when the first nuclear bomb went off Pluto was in Leo, near its extreme point of orbit, which is called a "solstice point." Every other planet reaches its extreme point of orbit in Cancer/Capricorn. When Pluto moves into Aquarius permanently it will be slowly approaching its other solstice point.

Speaking of solstices ....The halfway point between the fall equinox and winter solstice is the original date when Halloween was celebrated. Thanks to the abundance in our garden this year, we are ready!

The Return of X

You may wonder why Twitter is now X.

Biden Impeachment

On September 28, 2023, the Biden impeachment investigation commenced with the Saturn square Sedna of the world chart creating a Grand Cross with Biden’s natal chart’s planetary pattern of Chiron and Sappho conjunction square his natal Venus. Lucky for the current president, Saturn turns direct before this Grand Cross completes. It was in full flower, however, in February 2023 when the seeds of these hearings were sown.

The Inauguration Chart

Comparing September 28, 2023, to the chart of January 20, 2021, when this president was sworn into office, we see that the world chart’s heliocentric square of Mars and Pluto create a T-square with the inauguration chart’s Earth. The Sun and Earth of course represent the presidential office in an inauguration chart. Certainly, there is a war-like atmosphere in play between political factions while a government shutdown is on the table over budget disputes. Mars will soon move on and the T-square will dissipate. However, transiting Pluto, the planet of drastic upheavals, as well as politics and power, will continue to oppose the Earth in this chart for a long time to come.

By progression, the inauguration’s chart’s natal Sun is applying to a conjunction with Saturn that will be exact in 2024. That is paralleled by an opposition of Saturn to Earth in the heliocentric progressions. Although Biden himself may not suffer greatly from the impeachment investigation and its results, the administration that began with his inauguration could suffer. Saturn, after all, brings censure, disapproval, and criticism. The power (Sun, Earth) of the current administration could be weakened (Saturn) over the coming six to eight months while simultaneously transiting Pluto is strainng, stressing, eroding and transforming.

October 1 Budget Fight & Shutdown

There is a fight between fractious factions as shown by transiting heliocentric Mars moving forward to square the inauguration chart’s Saturn, while geocentric Mars moves into position to square the inauguration chart’s natal Pluto. Some people in Congress will not budge or cooperate.

Forthright Mars says to Saturn, “I will fight against the existing problems I see and refuse to be controlled and dominated by others.”

Angry, indignant Mars says, “I must fight oppression and dictator-like policies (Pluto)”

With practical business/financial planet Ceres opposing the impetuous/strident Mars/Uranus conjunction of the inauguration chart, and creating a T-square to its Jupiter, there is certainly a stalemate.

Sensible Ceres says, “we do not spend money we do not have” while Mars and Uranus say, “let’s act now and worry about that later.”

A government shutdown is not the end of the world and might actually do some good. Principled Jupiter is heading towards a conjunction with the inauguration chart's heliocentric Uranus, as well as a parallel with that chart's Neptune, so wisdom will eventually prevail.
