Instead, we will explore some unique celestial patterns in a historical context that will spark a thoughtful and hopeful picture of the future. The world is changing in a substantial and elemental way that will span more than one year. The effect is subtle but underlies everything the world will experience during the next several years. One item of constant thought is the emergence of Artificial Intelligence which has permeated our awareness. AI is built upon databases, and they are a tiresome collection of facts in a structured, organized environment which is very much Saturnian in nature. Uranus is the next planet beyond Saturn and has been said to be the planet of higher thought. That is significant as it edges its way back into Gemini, the sign of communication, where it remains for seven years. Since the beginning of 2024, Uranus has been within orb and applying to a contraparallel to the Earth. This planet moves very slowly in the heliocentric latitudes, so it will not complete the approaching aspect and become exact until 2029. On May 19, 2029 Uranus will be exactly contraparallel the Earth. Then it will immediately travel parallel to the Earth in the heliocentric atitudes as it starts its journey northwards as a separating aspect. A few days later on June 4, 2029, the Earth and Uranus will be in opposition. What is significant about alignments that involve the Earth is that they affect everyone on the earth. Aspects that involve the Earth are worldwide and global. If you recall, the Earth was aligned with Saturn in the heliocentric latitudes when Covid fears dominated the world headlines a few years ago and when greedy people in positions of authority battered us with self-serving oppressive policies. Thankfully, that fearful time is past, and we no longer need to guard ourselves 24/7 from Saturn’s “evil that men do.” THE NEW ORDER OF AGES
To understand Uranus, consider a tornado, a hurricane, or a windstorm; trees must bend with the wind or topple over while any weak branches will break away when placed under sustained pressure. Uranus huffs and puffs and will blow your house down unless it is built of brick and anchored to a solid foundation. The movement of Uranus in a personal chart can bring sweeping changes and like a storm it may destroy anything weak or anything that has outlasted its time. We may blame the influence of Uranus for divorces, unexpected transfers or that seven year itch that tempts us to seek greener pastures. Nevertheless, every storm, whether it is emotional or physical, leaves behind a refreshing new day or a sparkling new start because it blows away anything that is not needed or unstable. Some of the keywords for Uranus are freedom and independence so it comes as no surprise that in 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was signed, Uranus was within .08 degrees of a contraparallel to the Earth and become exact in October 1777. The Latin phrase "novus ordo seclorum," appearing on the reverse side of the Great Seal since 1782 and the back of the one-dollar bill since 1935, translates to "New Order of the Ages," alluding to the beginning of an era where the United States of America is an independent nation-state. Uranus was also contraparallel the Earth in the years leading up to the American Civil War and was exact in September of 1861. Uranus was within the orb of a contraparallel to the Earth as the second World War erupted, bringing with it a series of inventions such as radar, penicillin, and duct tape -- reaching its point of exactitude in July 1945. PLUTO'S AGE OF AQUARIUS
Pluto was at 10 Leo when the U.S. dropped nuclear bombs on Japan on Aug 6, 1945. Both Uranus and Pluto were highlighted in 1945. Pluto might be demoted by astronomers to something other than a planet, but it has proved to be an effective body in astrology. Pluto arrives at extreme declination at a different point in the zodiac than other planets. It could be argued that Pluto is more powerful as it reaches out to extreme declination Pluto's unique extremes -- what could be called its solstice points - occur as it crosses 10 degrees of Leo and Aquarius. This was when Pluto squared the 10 Leo position of Pluto when the atomic bomb dramatically ended WW II for all practical purposes. In 1784 when Pluto was last in Aquarius and crossed its “solstice point” the Industrial Revolution was sweeping the world, spurred on by high tech inventions such as the spinning jenny, cotton gin, and steam engine. It is worthwhile to mention the creation of the flush toilet, which also elevated the lifestyle of humankind. What all of these events have in common is the effect on a broad swathe of people. Looking at how both Uranus and Pluto are highlighted in 2029, it is quite likely that another type of revolution will sweep the world in the next few years with the apex centered around 2029 and 2030. Pluto hits its key point of 10 degrees Aquarius for the first time on or about March 27, 2029, just after a conjunction to Ceres and square by Saturn on March 29. On May 11, 2029, it turns retrograde at 10.4 Aquarius and crosses 10 degrees again on February 1, 2030. On May 19, 2029 Uranus will be exactly contraparallel the Earth. CHANGE IS SCARY Big thinkers and visionaries have discussed building the huge data centers and servers needed for AI processing in outer space where they can be powered by the Sun and where water for cooling will not be needed. Conspiracy theorists might exaggerate the downsides of technological achievement, fear the plots and plans of globalists, and worry about an impending shift in our ways of living. The World Economic Forum has outlined its Visions for 2030 while Snopes has denied that the UN Agenda 2030 exists. The world is in a period of discovery, transition, and revolution that is unpredictable, and perhaps disruptive, but filled with amazing possibilities even when change seems to be something to fear. We ended up with a much better world after the Industrial Revoluton when there were similar cycles with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. Change can be scary, but it can bring good things. MORE ABOUT URANUS Earth ContraParallel Uranus through the years FEBRUARY 1610 As you may know, Uranus has an 84 year cycle and that holds true with heliocentric latitudes. The first English settlers landed in Virginia in 1607 while this alignment was in orb. This adventure broke new ground for a New World as forward thinking people who sought religious freedom made discoveries in a new land. The first recorded landing in the "new world" of Australia by a European was by a Dutch explorer in 1606. In February 1610 the aspect was exact, but it takes years for this alignment to mature into exactitude so its span of influence is impressive. DECEMBER 1693 We can go back to the late 1600’s and note that the Uranus was exactly contraparallel to Earth in December 1693. The first Astronomer Royal of England, John Flamsteed, recorded the earliest sighting of the planet Uranus in 1690 while this alignment was within close orb. All these newsworthy events happened during the Uranus contraparallel to Earth but they paved the way for enlightened changes. During 1692, the Massachusetts colony finalized its invention of modern currency . In 1691 the first patent for a washing machine was issued in England. Uranus is about making the human condition better and rising above the limited selfishness and controlling instincts of Saturn. SEPTEMBER 1861 The Civil War was destructive, and many families were on opposite sides of the issues, or separated from their loved ones for years. Those who had a different vision of the country wanted to separate from those who held different beliefs. The old south was “gone with the wind” during this stormy time but, in its aftermath, the old ways of slavery were swept away, since “all men are created equal.” The can opener was invented in 1858, the first oil well was drilled and Charles Darwin published the Origin of the Species in 1859, and Linus Yale gave us the cylinder lock in 1861. Uranus is adventuresome, loves discoveries, follows the latest trends, creates a shifting global outlook, and is innovative. JULY 1945 WWII broke Europe away from a decade of unrest, dictatorships, and blatant racism while the boundaries of countries changed and some countries disappeared forever. WWII brought us radar, penicillin, duct tape, as well as atomic bombs and nuclear power, (although we should look to Pluto for more in depth examination of that system). MAY 2029 This time around the world will harness the power of artificial intelligence and we may even entertain global digital currency. The lesson of Uranus is that the old must be replaced with the new for the betterment of mankind although the process may be sometimes stressful, upsetting and disruptive. Uranus keeps on experimenting until it gets it right. For further food for thought you might consider the fact that every time Uranus has been contraparallel the Earth since February 1610 Uranus has been in the sign Gemini. Therefore, it is possible that most people will experience the contraparallel of Uranus to Earth from the perspective of how longitudinal Uranus in Gemini interacts with the planets in their charts.
