Happy Anniversary, United States!

The United States is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year.
The U.S. celebrates its Independence from British rule as outlined in the Declaration of Independence that was ratified on July 4, 1776.
This document represents the beginning of the United States and the chart for the day explains why the U.S. has grown and flourished for 250 years.
No one knows exactly what time the paperwork was completed, although astrologers have debated this subject endlessly, so this is a chart for 11:07 am as that provides plenty of verifiable information.
The house placements don't matter when the time is unknown.

On the surface the chart appears unremarkable and may even lead one to believe that this is the chart of an unsuccessful enterprise destined for failure.
The energy exchanged between planets is what really matters. Here is the same chart with the aspect lines:
The Sun, which is the most important point in any chart, is square Saturn. The Sun represents the head of the entity which is the United States, as well as the entity itself, and Saturn can represent obstacles, failure and difficulties.
However, the Declaration of Independence very clearly limited (Saturn) the powers of any President (Sun) and his/her term of office, which fits the symbolism very well.
The signers of the Declaration of Independence did not want any one man to have too much power as they had no intention of being under the thumb of yet another king.
The Sun square Saturn can represent a spirit of closeminded conservatism, a lack of vitality, and poverty.
Mars is square Neptune which could symbolize the type of passive aggressive behavior that results in difficult negotiations and scattered energies.
The Sun square Saturn in the U.S. chart can also represent as a motivating force those people who developed a work ethic of awesome proportions. Many of the early settlers were those who escaped religious persecution, such as the Puritans who were guided by strict rules and conventions.
Others came to America in the 1600’s as indentured servants with little more than the clothes on their back, forced to work hard to pay off their shipboard passage. Shiploads of British prisoners were deported and dumped on Virginia coastlines to struggle on their own with few resources, challenged to begin a new life. Even wealthy entrepreneurs blessed with land grants had to hustle to make their newfound abundance pay off.
For more than 150 years before the United States becae an independent nation immigrants to the new world labored under harsh conditions in an unfamiliar environment under the rule of a distant king.
Yet the United States has always been celebrated in the world at large as a place of freedom, riches, high ideals and the land of opportunity.
Where do we see this?
The planets aligned in the declinations of this chart are amazing.
DYNAMIC DECLINATIONS
The Declaration of Independence was signed when the Sun was parallel FOUR planets and contraparallel Pluto. Therefore, Venus is parallel the Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, and c.p. Pluto. This means that Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, is aligned with Sun, Mars, Venus, Uranus, and Pluto, too.
This is a HUGE pileup of linked planets including two of the most beneficial planets -- Venus and Jupiter - and two financial planets; Venus and Pluto.
Jupiter =foresight and opportunity, Mars = initiative, Pluto aspects = riches, Venus = harmony, Uranus alignments = freedom and high ideals.

The Sun was parallel Venus, Mars, Uranus and Jupiter and contraparallel Pluto. The more planets tied together in an alignment the more important the moment in time.
Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Pluto are all at extreme declination, which signals extreme virtuosity and brilliance above and beyond the ordinary. When planets are at extreme declination they are outside the limits of the Sun’s path and can operate more freely.
Venus, Pluto and Jupiter linked together represents the financial strength and opportunity of the newly formed country. Venus and Pluto are financial planets, while Jupiter offers the opportunity and good judgement to progress and expand (perhaps the reason the U.S. coined the phrase “manifest destiny”).
Mars aligned in the declinations with these bodies suggests the drive and initiative to grow and thrive.
The Sun parallel Uranus enhances the ability to change with the times, and represents high ideals and a desire for freedom for all mankind (to quote the Declaration of Independence, “all men are created equal”) that counteracts the conservatism and suspicion of authority symbolized by the Sun /Saturn square.
The chart outlines the dichotomy of a country that espouses freedom for all, yet must rein in those freedoms when they infringe upon the rights of a majority or a minority. This is represented by the Sun parallel to Uranus and Jupiter, overlaid by the Sun square Saturn.
On one hand there is a desire to protect the rights of all humanity and on the other hand there is an urge to protect our nation, perhaps best exemplified in the isolationist doctrines that prevailed before the World Wars.
The United States chart is a study in contrasts. For instance, the U.S. donates huge amounts of money to impoverished countries (the Sun parallel humanitarian Uranus and generous Jupiter) yet at the same time is widely reviled by those who perceive this generosity as a means of control (the Sun square Saturn).
THE HELIOCENTRIC PERSPECTIVE
This country has lasted and grown, perhaps because Neptune, the planet of longevity, is trine Pluto, the planet of power, purpose, and resources, and prominent in the heliocentric chart. That same Neptune is parallel Chiron in the heliocentric latitudes, sparking time defying charm and promoting lasting material gain.
Most importantly, the Earth is contraparallel benevolent Jupiter and broadminded Uranus, mirroring a theme of luck and growth that was evident in the geocentric chart. This created a true success story.
This chart with its conflicting alignments might remind us that there can be no true freedom (Uranus, Jupiter) without responsibility (Saturn).
Humanitarian and social justice advocate, Eleanor Roosevelt, said:
“Freedom makes a huge requirement of every human being. With freedom comes responsibility. For the person who is unwilling to grow up, the person who does not want to carry his own weight, this is a frightening prospect.”
-- Eleanor Roosevelt
